Continuing with our posts on North Carolina Castles, we'd like to feature Castle Ladyhawke. Castle Ladyhawke is a charming authentically recreated castle; built with an emphasis on the personal handcraftsmanship by many skilled descendants of the original Scottish settlers in this area. This once private estate is now offered for weddings, special events, and private or corporate retreats. Available for one day events (up to 200 guests) or longer stays with overnight accommodations, the castle presides on a ridge overlooking the Tuckasegee River in the spectacular mountains of Western North Carolina. This beautiful castle is located just one hour from Asheville’s Regional Airport, and ten minutes from Western Carolina University’s Cullowhee campus.
